Always get excited when new material is released, so naturally pre-ordered my copy of 'Mixtape of the Open Road'. I certainly love the eclectic flow throughout, serving to its respective title. May have a purist attitude, but I cannot help but hold most preciously your songs within earlier discography. Still cannot get enough of Marty and his guitar unto himself. The variations in melodies you perform transport me from the audience or speakers alike; so, I always love the unanticipated inputs. With that, I remain biased to live recordings where you play your classics, but will not provide lower than a 4 in my rating. Obviously, a must buy! -Matt MacDonald (New York/Austin, TX)
